Hydrant Flushing
The Greenfield Water Utility will begin flushing fire hydrants on May 11, 2026. Our target area is for the southside of the water system. We will start at South water plant, flush down to Tague Street, flush along Tague Street and then everything south of Tague to Weber Road. Customers in these areas may experience discolored water. Our flushing will take place during regular business hours. Flushing Signs will be setup in the areas we are flushing.
P&L Tree Trimming
Greenfield Power & Light has contracted an arborist, Williams Tree Co., to trim limbs away from the power lines. The arborist will contact homeowners in the areas where Williams Tree will be trimming trees. This work will continue throughout the year.

Do you know what the material of your water line is?
Lead Service Line Inventory Hub Site
The Lead Service Line Inventory Hub Site website is a public information resource designed to help residents learn about water service lines in the City of Greenfield and understand the materials identified at their address. It's purpose is to provide access to lead service line inventory information in a clear, map-based format so community members can better understand whether a service line may contain lead, galvanized material requiring replacement, non-lead material, or is currently unknown.
This site supports public awareness and transparency by making service line information easier to find and understand. It can help property owners, tenants, and other community members review available records, stay informed about lead service line identification efforts, and better understand how this work relates to safe drinking water and ongoing infrastructure planning. Because inventories can change as records are updated or field verification is completed, the website also serves as a tool for sharing the most current available information with the public.
Residents can use the site to look up an address, view mapped information, and learn more about the City’s lead service line inventory program. In short, the website exists to inform the public, improve access to service line data, and support Greenfield’s efforts to identify and communicate water service line materials across the community.
